Ruth’s Chris Grand Hyatt

After eight years at its former location in St. Paul Square, Ruth’s Chris’ ownership decided to move to the Grand Hyatt Convention Center Hotel, to become the anchor restaurant for the 4-star hotel.

Known for its elegance and sophistication, Ruth’s Chris has come to symbolize fine dining around the world. Douglas Architects design for the new 10,000 sf restaurant space incorporated the elegant, international style of the Grand with the warm, rich feel of Ruth’s Chris restaurants.

The main entry features a large, 40 seat bar, the largest on the Riverwalk, which utilizes new lighting to highlight the bars front and the existing vaulted ceiling and delicately lit wine racks to create an eye-catching location for Riverwalk patrons and hotel guests.

A deep red vinyl and a dark brown tile floor ties the restaurant together and sets off the reds and browns in the custom carpet and walls of the main and private dining rooms. Existing artwork and furniture was blended with new, custom designed furniture to create a familiar, yet excitingly fresh dining experience.
