300 Houston Street

Mixed Use

Downtown/San Antonio

2009

Located in downtown San Antonio’s historic Houston Street Corridor, 300 Houston Street was designed as a commercial, mixed-use development for Federal Realty Investment Trust. Housing the second oldest Walgreens lease in the history of the chain, the building’s contextual design reflects the surrounding neighborhood’s materiality and reinforces the urban scale, proportion, pattern and detailing of its neighbors along Houston and Navarro Streets.

The original 1920’s iconic “Walgreen Drugs” porcelain signs were refurbished and integrated into the new building design. The street level contains 18, 000 s.f. of retail space, the second houses office space. The existing basement was expanded to create an efficient, urban parking garage.
